He has expanded his hunts since the logging roads linked his bear1camps to the 2.5 million-acre wilderness known as "The North Maine Woods" in the early 1990's. Matt exclusively leases the right to hunt on nearly 100,000 acres and his area abuts the northern boundary of Baxter State Park, a protected haven for bears
